|ROCKSTREAM STUDIOS TEAMS WITH ONLINE VIDEO STARS GRACE HELBIG, HANNAH HART AND MAMRIE HART ON FIRST FEATURE FILM, "CAMP TAKOTA"
Los Angeles, CA, 8/2/2013
RockStream Studios has announced that they are in pre-production on Camp Takota (working title), the first digital feature film from online video stars Grace Helbig of 'Daily Grace,' Hannah Hart of 'My Drunk Kitchen' and Mamrie Hart, of 'You Deserve a Drink.' The movie will offer fans an innovative, behind the scenes experience from pre-production until its digital release.
The story was penned by Mamrie Hart and producer Michael Goldfine and follows Elise (Grace Helbig), a woman who, after finding her life in shambles, is forced to work at her old summer camp, where she reunites with two estranged friends. Over the course of the summer, the girls not only help save the dying camp, but they also get their lives and careers back on track.
"It's been a great experience working with this group of rising talent as they evolve as artists and jump platforms," Goldfine said. "They've got the skills, they've got the audience, and we're excited to show their fans something bigger and better."
In developing the project, Goldfine, felt that Grace, Hannah and Mamrie's collective fan base of over 2.2M+ followers would mobilize toward the content if they were kept fully engaged. With that in mind, he sought a digital solution, which came in the form of "Insider Access" from online distribution platform Chill.
'Insider Access' is an ancillary fan experience available, without cost, to all fans who 'register for camp' on the film's online destination, www.chill.com/camp. RockStream Studios will be sharing regular updates from set including short videos, production diaries, director cuts and on-set interviews.

The weekend’s other new opener, comedy film "Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain," pulverized already heightened expectations with an impressive $4.7 million from only 876 theaters. |'Dark Knight Rises' Producer Sets Film Noir Superhero Web Series
The Hollywood Reporter, 4/14/2013
The Dark Knight Rises producer Michael Uslan is teaming with digital media company Blip for an original superhero web series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The Great S. Cape!, a 12-installment live-action series created by Uslan and described as a "film noir adventure," follows superhero Stephen Cape, a magician and illusionist who applies his skills -- and refusal to use a gun -- to his newfound mission as a private detective. When he stumbles across the most insidious murder plot in Hollywood, powerful forces set out to stop him at all costs.
South African actor Ian Duncan will star as Stephen, with additional castmembers announced shortly. Uslan, who was an executive producer on Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, will write and executive produce with Michael Goldfine producing. Production will begin at the end of April.
Blip will premiere The Great S. Cape! later this year on its website and will offer a sneak preview May 1 at its NewFront presentation in New York.
"The Great S. Cape! marks the triumphant return of the chapter-by-chapter Saturday-matinee movie serial of old that was dominated by superheroes like Batman, Superman and Captain America," said Uslan. "Original web series are at the cutting edge of the entertainment industry, and working with Blip I can reach audiences in new ways with more immersive characters and stories."
Added Blip CEO Kelly Day: “Working with such an esteemed producer as Michael Uslan to bring his new superhero vision to life is an incredible collaboration for us, and his plans to tap top comic book writers and devotees from the fan film world make this something truly groundbreaking. The Blip audience is going to love the action, adventure and the return of the nail-biter.”
Blip, which launched in 2005, develops, produces and distributes original web series. The Great S. Cape! is produced by Branded Entertainment Llc. in association with Rockstream Studios.
RSS teamed up with writer/director Mike Judge ("Beavis and Butthead," "Office Space") and Terry Crews ("The Expendables," "Are We There Yet?") to produce a series of shorts based on the 2006 Fox feature film, "Idiocracy." The series was released in the run up to the 2012 Presidential Election.
